There is something morbidly entertaining about a Communist Party fund drive solicitation. If you haven't done it already, we recommend it, mainly to experience the eerie similarity in language between it and standard liberal democrat fund-raising appeals.

... there are historic opportunities to change this country, to put it on a better course towards peace, democracy, equality—and socialism. The Communist Party USA has been there on the ground and at all levels, in the electoral fight and, just like always, in the fight against Bush's Iraq war, the economic crisis, racism, for women's and youth rights, for gay rights—the list goes on. We are working with others to defeat McCain and, like you, we want to continue all these struggles to their logical conclusion: socialism.

In fact, about the only difference between the above text and your garden-variety liberal propaganda is the explicit reference to socialism. What else is there?

At Election Debates our guess is many liberals won't be all that offended by what they see there. So why not make a donation. Better supersize it to make up for all the tight-wad conservatives who won't be giving. When you win veto-proof majorities in the House and Senate this November you can raise our taxes to get reimbursed.
