The indispensable Bookworm, a conservative lawyer in San Francisco, has an excellent post that asks a very telling and sensible question – why won't President Obama enroll himself and his family in Obamacare? In fact, the President has promised to veto any legislation that reaches his desk containing that provision. Why would he do that? Isn't Obamacare an excellent product that the public will come to love, once it has become familiar with it? What better way to promote his signature legislation than to publicly sign up for it? What greater vote of confidence could he cast on his own behalf? Instead he is sending a very different message to an increasingly suspicious and wary public: like nearly all liberal politicians, he has no desire to live under the rule of his own law.
