The Lunatics of 'Occupy Wall Street'

In response to George Soros and his merry band of anticapitalist ingrates' latest hijacking of the news cycle, Rush Limbaugh has unloaded on them in a glorious monologue, excerpted here.

If you haven't seen the protestors' list of demands, they're a sight to behold in their sheer radical cluelessness:

1)

Restoration of living wage ... supposedly only possible by ending free trade, imposing tariffs on all imported goods entering US market...

2)

Single payer health care system... all private insurance companies are to be banned from the health care market, as their only effect on the health of patients is to take money away from doctors, nurses, and hospitals!

3)

Guaranteed living wage income regardless of employment...

To which Limbaugh asks the reasonable question: "Why even go to school, why care about education, why worry about employment if you're demanding a guaranteed living wage?"

4)

Free college education...

Limbaugh again: "Why? Why do you need a college education if you're going to get a living wage, and you don't have to work? Why go to college? Let's just ban college. Let's just ban colleges. Let's put 'em out of business."

5)

Begin a fast-track process to bring the fossil fuel economy to an end.

Limbaugh: "Hey dodo heads! That's happening! You young skulls full of mush down there making absolute jokes of yourselves, that's already happening. This regime is doing everything it can to put the fossil fuel industry out of business."

6)

One trillion dollars spent on infrastructure, water, sewer, rail, roads and bridges and electrical grid spending. Now.

7)

One trillion dollars in ecological restoration, planting forests, reestablishing wetlands and the natural flow of river systems and decommissioning of all of America's nuclear power plants.

8)

Racial and gender equal rights amendment.

9)

Open borders immigration. Anybody can travel anywhere to work and live.

10)

Bring American elections up to international standards of a paper ballot, precinct counted, and recounted, in front of an independent and party-observer system.

11)

Immediate across-the-board debt forgiveness for all. Debt forgiveness of sovereign debt, commercial loans, home mortgages, home equity loans, credit card debts, student loans, personal loans, now. All debt must be stricken from the books. World bank loans to all nations, bank-to-bank debt, all bonds and margin-call debt in the stock market including all derivatives and credit default swaps, all 65 trillion dollars of them must be stricken from the books, not just debt in default but all debt on the planet, period.

Limbaugh: "You like that one? All right let's just do that, let's just forgive all debt. Wipe all debt out. Nobody owes anybody anything."
